Hi everyone!
OK, OK I know, it's been two weeks since I last posted. I wasn't intentionally waiting until Kristina posted another challenge, honest! I've just had a very hectic couple of weeks, so blogging has had to take a back seat. If you check out my next post when I've got it done, you'll know what has kept me busy :-)
Anyway, with Kristina's colours this week, at first I was like Hmm, I'd really like to throw in a bit of chocolate chip in there (cardstock that is, for those of you unfamiliar with Stampin' Up!'s colours!). But then it dawned on me that the colours were pretty much all in a particular sheet of the Petals Designer Series paper I had just been flicking through the other day, thinking that I will miss this paper when it retires at the end of March (it's highly likely!) and that I should really use more of the stash I've got of it!

Once I'd pulled out the sheet of paper, my design pretty much fell into place after that - I looked at the stamp set Polka Dots & Paisley, one of the sets that coordinates with the Petals DSP, and picked out one of my favourite images from that set to use as my focal point.
The design is a very simple one really, but because the paper is busy it might look more complicated than it really is. I used two pieces of the DSP for the background, and stamped the flower in three different colours onto whisper white and cut them into separate pieces. They're mounted on More Mustard cardstock which is then raised up using Stampin' Dimensionals. The word Happy was simply punched out using the large oval punch and I tied a button with Linen thread and adhered it to the Old Olive wide grosgrain ribbon with a glue dot. Easy!
Here's the full recipe (All supplies by Stampin' Up!):
Stamps: Polka Dots & Paisley
Inks: Taken With Teal, Old Olive, So Saffron
Cardstock: So Saffron, More Mustard, Whisper White
Other: Petals DSP, wide Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, Stampin Dimensionals, Large Oval Punch, More Mustard button, Linen thread, glue dots
