Yes, I'm still here. And in fact I have some exciting news! Not only is the new catalogue about to launch, but I'm re-launching my business in a way, too! Those of you who follow my blog know that I'm a bad blogger. It's not that I don't stamp, or that I don't want to share, it's that I am not blessed with the "gift of technology". Anything technical that I'm unfamiliar with has me running for the hills! I know I can blog, but there are things on this blog that need to change (like having a sign in box for my mailing list for example) and I just can't bring myself to figure that out on my own. So I have slowly come to the realisation that I'm better to get outside help with the technical stuff until I'm comfortable with it, and that will let me focus on the stuff I am happy doing - the creative side and bringing the stamping fun for you!
So I'm happy to announce that my friend Sara is helping me out and giving me a kick in the butt at the same time and it's all good! She said that I need to sort out my class schedule, so I have.... check out the sidebar to see what's on offer! It goes all the way out to mid October on there - and I may add some repeat dates for mid-week classes once I have firmed up the dates of a couple of private classes I'm doing, so keep an eye out for that. If you have a group of friends you'd like me to do a private class for (at your house or mine), I'm happy to do that too, just ask!
OK so you'll see some more news soon, but in the meantime do check out the schedule and if you'd like to come and stamp a cookie at my new catalogue launch party (yes, I'm serious, we're going to be stamping on cookies!), just RSVP for the day that suits you. I'm SO excited about the new catalogue, I can hardly contain myself! I have been playing with a few of the new products and I'm in stamping heaven!
Now for the stampin' eye candy, which you've come to expect! Those of you who are current or former customers of mine know that I love to inspire you with little tags attached to your orders. Every time you order, you get a different tag (or on the odd occasion I haven't been able to make you a tag, there's usually something else for your inspiration in the bag, and often a chocolate treat too!). Some of you have quite the collection of tags in your stash now! I didn't start keeping samples of them until I'd been making them for a good year or so, but now I keep a record of most of them so I don't give you a double up. Here's one of the latest tags I made, using one of the soon-retiring hostess stamp sets, Precious Butterflies. I confess, it's the first time this set has seen ink, and I discovered all too late just how beautifully it fits with one of the framelits dies!
Now if you have the stamp set, or you have the catalogue and can look it up, you'll see that the butterfly is actually a solid stamp. Want to take a guess as to how I added the pattern to it? I used Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade ink colours for the butterfly, which are also about to leave us for the great retired colour playground! OK so take a guess as to the technique I used - leave a comment, and I'll tell you the answer next time!
